NYRA - SARATOGA

08/16/04

Race 1

(9)LUCKY ROBERTA-should be set for third start back. Last two against open company and the turf race should have him fit for this.

(8)HOPE’S DIAMOND

(6)SASAFRAS

Results: Hope's Diamond paid $6.40, 2.80, 2.50

Race 2

(1)SHARK-regressed slightly in last when lasix was added which suggests a big move forward today. Has experience edge as well but probably gets hammered at the windows.

(5)GET WILD

(3)SPANISH MISSION

Results: 6,5,3 (Get Wild DQ'd to place)

Race 3

(4)INTRUEFLIGHT-stakes placed miss drops and adds blinkers for return from short break. Has run well before when fresh and she looks like a nice fit in here. Drew off to win only race for a tag.

(2)I LOVE THE ORGAN

(7)SHOWMESOMELOVE

Results: 4,2,7 - Showmesomelove paid $7.60, 3.00, 2.50, Exacta Box paid $16.00; Trifecta Box paid $64.50

Race 4

(6)KWONDO-has some nice works. Always tough to go against this team, especially in this situation.

(5)WOODLANDER

(8)BENJAMIN BABY

Results: Kwondo paid $4.80, 3.70, 2.90

Race 5

(6)DUKE’S CROSSING-needed last but should be ready for return to track he obviously likes.

(5)BLUES HIGHWAY

(2)RIVER SPIRIT

Race 6

(5)LA DANIELLE-well bred and should love turf. Barn is very good at getting horses ready to run and also has managed to get their hands on some of the top turfers in the country over the last couple of years.

(6)CONTAGIOUS

(11)FOIST

(main track) 1a, 6, 2b.

Results: 8,5,6,11

Race 7

(6)DANDOON-Bull Market looks like he towers over these based on his past races but might need a race. This guy is sharp right now and ships in for rare appearance from very shrewd connections.

(2)BULL MARKET

(4)ALL HAIL STORMY

Results: All Hail Stormy paid $11.20, 4.40, 2.60

Race 8

(11)IN HAND-over his head in last two. Turns the tables on Art Variety here.

(5)ART VARIETY

(3)HOST

(main track) 14, 10, 13

Race 9

(11)LAUGHING-could be live if she draws in based on fact the trainer won with lone ship in this meet.

(12)GINNY’S QUEEN

(1a)EL PRADO’S GIRL

(1)FIDDLERS FANCY

(5)URBANE HUSTLE

(2)J.B.’S ANNIE

(main track) 11, 6, 4, 2.

SPOT PLAY

Del Mar

Race 1

(5)CINEMA STAR-should be all set off the turf race and big drop. Box with 1,2,6.

Results: Cinema Star paid $6.60, 3.60, 2.40
