NYRA - SARATOGA

08/19/04

Race 2

(1)FABULOUS PEAK-seems to like going long judging by the race two back. Should be close up all the way around today.

(7)ACCOUNT FOR ME

(4)MOUNT INTREPID

Results: 1,7,4 - Fabulous Peak Paid $8.70, 4.50, 2.80, Cold Exacta paid $29.80, Cold Trifecta paid $49.60

Race 3

(2)VIBRANT-looks like J D has himself set for a big day today starting with this mount. Goes for the big plunge today and rider switch should help with the inexperience she displayed in first two starts.

(4)JOYEUX RULER

(1)RJEA OF VILLANOVA

Results: 2,4,6 - Vibrant Paid $3.30, 2.60, 2.20, Cold Exacta paid $14.80

Race 4 - race moved to main track

(3)BE MY PRINCE-just missed in turf debut and that was not a trouble free trip either. Should improve off that race and should move forward enough to win this.

(14)DIXIE BAGHDAD

(5)TAKEH

(2)GRAND KIDS

(main track) 3, 2, 4.

Results: 2,4,3 - Grand Kids Paid $22.20, 11.00, 4.20; Exacta Box paid $142.50;  Tirfecta Box paid $381.00

Race 5

(1)HOW LONG-hard to look past that win when they added lasix. Anything remotely close to that effort probably wins this.

(7)MUMBLES

(10)CITIZENSHIP

 Results: 7,4,1a - Mumbles Paid $3.90, 2.80, 2.10

Race 6 - race moved to main track

(1)CUSE-last may have been a prep. Don’t believe the connections would make the trip if they didn’t have a purpose. Should show big improvement if race stays on turf.

(14)SHADY DEVIL

(10)IDE GOT STYLE

(7)NINETY NINE MACK

(main track) 1, 15, 10, 16.

Results: 14,16,5,10

Race 7

(5)ALCHEMIST-looks like the spot to get initial turf score. Catches short field and the scariest challengers in here probably need a race.

(2)OCEAN SILK

(6)EXCHANGE BAY

(main track) 7, 5, 6.

Results: 4,5,2,3

Race 8 *** Top Shoter was scratched

(6)TOP SHOTER-loves this track so much I just can’t see going against him. The good thing is I knew prior to a few of his last wins here. Like the last one at 7.90 to 1. his only loss here came at the hands of a very nice sprinter named Roaring Fever and that one was very sharp at the time and came back to repeat in his next start.

(7)TRAFFIC CHIEF

(2)WILL’S JOURNEY

(9)CLEVER ELECTRICIAN

Results: 9,3,7 - Clever Electrician paid $5.30, 3.30, 2.80; Exacta Box paid $19.00

Race 9

(4)SECRET FOREST-blinkers off may be key here. If this gal can relax now she should get the job done.

(1)COMANCHE STAR

(2)GLITTERATION

(3)HIGHER GROUND

Results: 8,4,1
